Jerry and Nancy lead a New Year’s Day hike on the Bison Way and Sheltowee Trace north trails. Our destination was a large rock house with a deep cave in the back. The gorge is full of rock houses, but this is the only one I know of that has such a big cave.
It was a beautiful day. There were nice views of Gladie Creek below. Strangely, I didn’t take any pictures until we reached our destination:

We had lunch. Someone supplied desert — fruit cake gets a bad rap:
The rock house is not visible from the Sheltowee trace. Take drainage to the right just past this tree.
