Two of my friends have independently told me Damascus, VA is a great place for hiking and biking. It is traversed by the Appalachian Trail, the Virginia Creeper Trail, and other trails. On the trip back from visiting my daughter in North Carolina, I decided to take a look. This is the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and the hiking season is mostly over. The following are my pictures.
